Skip Hire Questions

A skip can be placed anywhere on your private property provided that the driver can access the location and again when the skip wagon returns to collect it.

You may NOT move a skip when it has been placed, or you may make it inaccessible.

Always give clear instructions to the skip wagon driver when he arrives at your premises.

If you want to place your skip on public land (i.e. the road or grass) you will require a permit from your Local Authority.

Kemp Waste Management will arrange this for you and any Local Authority charges will be added to your quote.

You MUST NOT over-fill your skip.

To ensure the skip is safe to transport, you must ensure that it is not filled past the top of the sides.

Over-filled skips will not be taken under any circumstances.

If you are unsure, YOU MUST ASK THE DRIVER before you start to fill your skip.

Kemp Waste Management will provide your skip for 2 weeks as a standard.

Each additional week is charged at a further £25 + VAT.

Skips are used for the removal of non-hazardous waste such as building debris, household items and green waste etc.
If you need to dispose of hazardous waste, you need special permits and containers.
It is illegal for you to mix hazardous waste with non-hazardous waste.
If you have hazardous waste to dispose then please give us a call on 01422 247293
You may also request skips for scrap metal.
These are available at a minimal cost depending on transportation costs and the volume of metal contained.

Asbestos, fluorescent light tubes, paints, oils, chemicals, TVs, lithium batteries & e-cigs/vapes.

Upholstered items, Persistent Organic Pollutants  (POPs), mattresses, tyres, gas bottles and fridges can be disposed of for an additional charge which will be added to the price of the skip.

Roll On / Roll Off Questions

Unfortunately, these containers cannot be placed on a public road.

Due to the weight of the bin when loaded with soil and stone we can only supply a 20 yard to ensure we can safely lift and transport the skip on the road.

Yes! We have a number of account customers that have one of our bins in a permanent location. We can then arrange to empty this at intervals to suit your business needs.

Roll On, Roll Off skips offer a number of benefits over traditional skips, allowing you to store and dispose of large amounts of waste effectively and efficiently.

Thanks to their extra large dimensions, Roll On, Roll Off skips can accommodate a huge amount of waste. This means you’ll be able to cut down on overall waste management costs, minimise on-site disruption with less collections, and reduce your carbon footprint.

However, it’s important to note that, due to their size, you will require sufficient site access for them to be stored, delivered and picked up.
